Organization and Structure
Configure the entities, locations, departments, teams, and roles that organize your people.
Organization and location screens
Use Settings → General, Locations, and Business entities. The standard fields are name, code, logo, email, phone, address lines, city, state, country, postal code, time zone, currency, financial year, working days, contact person, and active status. A location can additionally require latitude/longitude or a permitted radius when geo-attendance is enabled.
Department and team screens
Use Departments and Teams to create the reporting structure.
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Name | Display name of the department or team. |
| Code | Optional unique short identifier. |
| Parent | Parent department or team for hierarchical reporting. |
| Head / lead / manager | The employee responsible for the unit. |
| Members | Employees included in the team. |
| Description | Optional purpose or scope. |
| Status | Whether the record can be assigned to new employees. |
The department/team detail pages show members, related sub-teams, and settings. Move people only after confirming their reporting manager and policy assignments.
Roles and permissions
On Roles, enter a role name and description, then select access by module. Permissions typically distinguish view, create, update, delete, approve, export, and manage actions. Assign roles in the employee record. Keep approval permissions limited to the appropriate manager or process owner.
